Structured Coaching

Most players don't need more information. They need better structure.

At Spring Woodlands Tennis Academy, we operate under The Excellence System—a unified training methodology that guarantees progression, consistency, and clear standards.

Under Coach Ken Olivier’s direction, we don’t just run standard drills or hit random balls. We coach with clear purpose, written player goals, regular assessments, and parent involvement. Our players learn to develop skill, confidence, and discipline both on and off the court.

Core Framework

Unified Coaching Principles

Our system combines athletic excellence with personal values to guide players from early stages to top tournament brackets.

1. Written Development Plans

Each competitive player’s development path is written down, posted, and discussed regularly. Coaches coordinate daily sessions to match specific target milestones.

2. CoachNow Integration

We leverage CoachNow to track goals, log biomechanics training videos, and post tournament match notes. Parents receive these progress reports directly on their phones.

3. Consistent Instruction

Every coach in the academy is on the same page. We ensure players receive unified training directions, avoiding the confusing and conflicting advice common in commercial clubs.

4. Character & Mental Toughness

Tennis is a vehicle to build lifetime habits. We hold our players to high standards of effort, engagement, on-court respect, and emotional resilience during tight sets.
